I am a freelance architecture graduate and researcher from Italy. Currently I am working on some interiors and curatorial projects in Milan collaborating with Ludovico Oldini and Davide Pagano with whom I founded the group CMQ Architettura. Meanwhile I am doing a practice-based PHD with the university of KU Leuven under the guidance and supervision of Burak Pak.
From November 2016 to July 2017 I have collaborated with RICA Studio (Madrid) on several international competitions, in particular engaging in the reconversion and design of public-educational buildings.
I obtained my Master Degree with honours in 2016 from the KU Leuven University of Brussels. During my last academic year, I have spent an exchange semester at the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) to research and reflect on my Master Dissertation. In that period I investigated the spatial-social organization of a selected site in Kadikoy – an historical district of eastern Istanbul- particularly looking at the existing social network of producers, both formal and informal, appropriating the collective spaces. The desing project has been awarded with the second prize and the re-use special mention of the “ATA2017_Archistart Thesis Award”.
Over the Master period, besides developing different architectural projects and dealing with urban-anthropologic researches in Brussels, I had to opportunity to undertake important research experiences abroad: in 2015 I joined a research workshop in Havana promoted by Kris Scheerlinck (Streetscape Territories).
In 2014, after obtaining my bachelor’s degree at Politecnico di Milano, I had a professional internship at AllesWirdGut Architektur in Wien. Over the stage period, I have been involved in the design of different public interventions at different scales: from big catalyst buildings to small neighbourhood devices. During my bachelor I had another internship at Privileggio_Secchi in Milan.
